New Zealand football has announced that all football is to be postponed until the 2nd of May and all training is to be suspended until the 18th of April — two weeks prior to the start of the season. Recommendations around safe practice will continue to be updated, aligning with Ministry of Health guidelines.

We are looking for ways in which some of our online workshops will be able to be shared with our greater football community and are currently in discussion with Australian and European clubs to see how we can keep kids involved in Football over this difficult period. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram to stay informed of these opportunities.

Although training is to be suspended Christchurch United coaches and staff will continue to provide learning opportunities for our players Currently we are working on skill challenges for all age groups. Our Academy players U13-U19 will have video analysis sessions, workshops and fitness programs.

It is very important that every parent and player start following our YouTube, Instagram and Facebook page to stay up to date of our day to day program. All players will need this information in order to be able to follow our alternative program from home!
