There was a touching tribute to Steve Sumner as this game marked the first since Steve's passing, many Manurewa AFC fans had travelled down for the game who had experienced working with Steve.

Just before kick off, there was a shirt swap as both starting 11 of each team showed class and lined up around the centre circle where Manurewa AFC Chairman Wayne Jensen were joined by Steve's son Carlos and Steve's grandkids Stella and Beckett.
