United midfielder Charlie Beale has spoken about facing Auckland United in the opening match of the National League Championship. Beale spent the 2024 campaign with the North Island side after several years at the Wellington Phoenix Academy.
"The boys are fizzing to get back onto the pitch after what has been a good couple weeks off. There’s no better way to kick off the campaign than against Auckland United, who we hope we can salvage some revenge from the cup! Will be awesome to step back out onto Keith Hay and hopefully deliver an entertaining game for all those watching. It’s great that both these teams are back in the national league where they belong. Can’t wait to get out there, come on you rams!"
