Sport has great potential to help young people develop important values that will help them be successful, well rounded, and contributing members of society.
Inspiring the Next Generation Through Fun, Movement, and Skill

Christchurch United FC is proud to deliver one of the most trusted and impactful Football in Schools programs in Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. Tailored for both early learning centres and primary schools, our program has positively influenced thousands of children by combining fun, engaging sessions with a research-backed approach that supports physical, cognitive, and social development.

A Philosophy That Puts Every Child at the Centre

At the heart of our program is a simple but powerful principle: “1 player – 1 ball.”
This ensures every child is constantly engaged, receiving maximum time on the ball to build coordination, confidence, and individual skill.

Our sessions blend age-appropriate football games with valuable life lessons—teamwork, resilience, focus, and a lifelong love of movement. They're delivered by our trained and experienced CUFC coaching staff and follow best practices in child development, earning widespread praise from educators and families alike.
