CUFC Talents Hit The World Stage!

Club Academy Player Pathway
If you turn on the TV this weekend you might see a few familiar faces… Nick Murphy and Mac Prathumphithak, two of Christchurch United’s top emerging talents are taking on the big stage at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Indonesia kicking off this weekend.

Representing our club and New Zealand in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup is a significant achievement, and it speaks volumes about the quality of the development programs at CUFC. “We are very excited for both Nick and Mac and the opportunity before them. It is always a great honor to represent your country and this will be an exciting experience and milestone in their young careers.”

Nick's versatility in the back line, with his strong ball distribution and composure, along with Mac's speed and technical skills as a winger, make them valuable assets to any team. Former CUFC player Matt Foord will also be starring in net for the kiwis during the tournament.

The entire Christchurch United community will be right behind these boys and proud to see them showcasing their abilities on the global platform. Best of luck boys
