Sheree will be joining us from Mainland Football where she was a fundamental part of the Federation for over 12 years.
I had the pleasure of meeting Sheree in 2014 when she was helping her husband who was the head coach for another club, while she worked at Mainland Football. Since then I have been trying to convince her to join CUFC.
Sheree has been deeply involved in the local football community and I strongly believe that with her connections, Christchurch United will obtain wider football community support on the way to becoming one of the top New Zealand football clubs; working together with other clubs to bring the game we all love to next level.
Sheree is the proud mum of one of our MPL players - Benji Lapslie – and is familiar with our management team including Head Coach Danny Halligan.
I hope her transition from Mainland Football will be smooth, as she completes all necessary tasks at Mainland Football and will look to join the team at Christchurch United on Monday 14th June 2021.
I can confirm that Christchurch United is keen to work together with Mainland Football and all local clubs for our future development.
"Being associated with the football community for so many years, I'm enthusiastically looking forward to the new role at Christchurch United. I am inspired by the club’s vision for the future and feel privileged to become part of the club. I look forward to meeting you all in person next month as I start the role as General Manager.”
Please ensure that we all welcome Sheree with open arms when she arrives.
