Christchurch United Football Club has clinched the Southern League title for a second consecutive year.
The 2023 season was nothing short of extraordinary for Christchurch United FC. Over the course of 18 matches, they won 16, drew 1, and lost just 1, securing an impressive 49 points. Their relentless attacking netting an incredible 72 goals with only 12 against.
One standout moment of the season was Sam Philip's remarkable achievement. The prolific striker not only played a pivotal role in the team's success but also clinched the coveted Golden Boot award by scoring an impressive 29 goals. Philip's outstanding performance put him at the top of the league's goal-scoring chart, edging out Garbhan Coughlan by a single goal.
