Our U17s are currently competing in the U17s National Tournament held at Western Springs.

Day 1 consisted of a very early first game kick off at 8am vs a Papakura City U17s.  A bright start  with Jakaya Anink scoring the first after a Mac assist, Papakura came back after half time, but then and Tommy Chao scoring the second after a nice assist by Hugo Debenham.

Second game of the day was a thriller against a well organised West Coast Rangers U17s.

West Coast took the lead, only for Jakaya Anink to equalise, West Coast then went onto scored 3 more unanswered goals making is a 1-4 scoreline.

Then Christchurch dug deep and shown just how much discipline the squad has.

Co-Captain Jackson Blake summed up the day

"First game vs Papakura: 1-0 up first half, we were the dominant team but struggled to create chances. Second half we made it much harder than it should’ve been conceding an early goal, however getting a goal back soon after, finishing the game with a 2-1 win. Second game vs West Coast Rangers: 4-1 down after a poor first half, however we showed great character to come back and get a point with the game ending 4-4"
