YouTube superstars add excitement to Christchurch United holiday camp

The Christchurch United Football Camps will offer a new holiday experience with action packed games, YouTube celebrities as well as our exciting skill sessions by our staff of international coaches.

The camps are designed to offer fun and football development opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

The April camps this year will have a special feature thanks to our new friends from the world-famous website and YouTube channel.

Matt Carruthers and his team have been a regular feature at the Christchurch Football Centre reviewing the latest football boots for a worldwide audience of 350,000 subscribers and over six million viewers each month to their YouTube channel.

“We love this club and this facility and we are keen to help them offer the kids something unique in the holidays,” says Carruthers who is a qualified football coach, as well as a video star.

“We are proud to be working closely with the staff and players at Christchurch United and we regularly feature them in our videos.”

During the holiday camps, Matt will be assisting our coaches by running a New Zealand-first, live Fantasy Football tournament where teams and players can earn points to transfer and purchase players to boost their squads.

He has been working closely with Christchurch United Technical Director Pieter in ‘t Groen to develop a holiday programme that will provide top-class football clinics as well as a host of fun football and non-football action.

“We want to keep our young customers busy all day and keep surprising them with new, unexpected elements,’ explains In ‘t Groen.

“Delivering a quality football product is always a priority, but in these camps it foremost about having a blast and getting kids excited about football.”

The players attending the camps will have a good chance of seeing themselves in action in one of the videos of  and become a YouTube star in their own right.

Christchurch United offers two or three-day camps these holidays. For more detailed info on each camp please click here, or sign up here.
